 To get GST registered in India, you need to follow the steps given below:


Check eligibility: Firstly, you need to check whether you are eligible for GST registration. Any business with an annual turnover of more than Rs. 40 lakhs (or Rs. 20 lakhs for businesses in certain states) is required to get GST registration.


Obtain PAN and other documents: You will need to have a Permanent Account Number (PAN) and other supporting documents such as proof of address, bank account details, and business registration documents like partnership deed, LLP agreement, or company incorporation certificate.


Go to GST portal: Visit the GST portal at www.gst.gov.in and click on the "Services" tab. Then click on "Registration" and select "New Registration".


Fill the application form: Fill out the GST registration application form with all the required details including your business type, business details, address, and contact information.


Verify your mobile number and email address: You will receive an OTP on your mobile number and email address for verification. Enter the OTP to complete the verification process.


Upload documents: Upload all the required documents such as PAN card, proof of address, bank account details, and business registration documents.


Submit application: After filling out the application form and uploading the required documents, click on the "Submit" button.


Wait for approval: After submitting the application, wait for the approval from the GST department. If there are any discrepancies in your application, the GST department may ask for additional information or documents.


GST registration certificate: Once your application is approved, you will receive a GST registration certificate with your unique Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN).
